About us

A community-focused nonprofit empowering lives through literacy & sport.

Community Literacy Club is a nonprofit providing literacy, educational, and tennis resources to communities across New York City, Long Island, Westchester County, and Newark, NJ.

Our story

Why we exist

Empowering lives — girls, boys, men, women, and families — through literacy & sport. We increase community literacy through after-school programs, events, camps, and workshops, and we support schools, community organizations, and fellow nonprofits.

Since 2020, Community Literacy Club has grown into a trusted partner for schools, community organizations, and fellow nonprofits — delivering after-school programs, camps, workshops, and events that combine academics with the joy of tennis and the power of community.

From the tennis court to the reading circle, from financial literacy to know-your-rights forums, every program is built to widen what's possible for the young people we serve.
